Job summary

Atlanta Gas Light is seeking an entry‑level crew member to support field operations for gas distribution. You will assist with deactivation of service, meter readings, corrosion inspections and general maintenance.

You’ll work with a crew to install, maintain and repair gas mains and services, operate basic equipment, assist in leak checks, and help with traffic control and documentation while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to pass basic assessments.
• Valid Driver’s License and basic tool knowledge.
• Good written and oral communication.
• Ability to work in potentially hazardous environments.

Responsibilities

• Support field operations including meter reads and service work.
• Assist with installing, maintaining and repairing gas mains and services.
• Operate basic equipment and perform traffic control duties.
• Maintain documentation in the Mobile Data Terminal.
• Observe safety requirements and comply with regulatory guidelines.
