Job summary

Northeast Arc is hiring Behavior Therapists to support children ages 15 months to 12 years with ASD or Down syndrome. You will deliver individualized ABA services in home and community settings, using Natural Environment Training and collaborating with BCBAs, families, and caregivers.

You’ll work on communication, daily living, social and adaptive skills, guided by treatment plans, with opportunities for supervision, training, and growth within a mission-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in psychology, early childhood education, or a related field required.
• RBT certification may substitute for the education requirement.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, confidential, and professional conduct.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Provide home and community-based support to individuals using evidence-based ABA approaches.
• Work directly with individuals and families in natural environments to improve social, communication, daily living, social, and adaptive skills.
• Teach goals and skills outlined in treatment plans and implement BCBA-developed strategies.
• Attend and contribute to clinical and non-clinical meetings, trainings, and supervision.
• Complete session notes and data and any non-clinical paperwork.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of clients.
• Support school consultations and parent training as needed.
