Job summary

Northeast Arc's Building Blocks and Building Bridges BT’s provide individualized ABA services to children, ages 15 months to 12 years, diagnosed with ASD or Downs Syndrome and their families. Our Behavior Therapists work in a team atmosphere alongside BCBAs, Early Intervention staff, families and caregivers.

Our programs facilitate interactions through Natural Environment Training and capitalize on natural opportunities for engagement with our kids using an evidence-based approach.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in psychology, early childhood or related field.
• RBT certification may substitute for degree.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Valid driver\'s license and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide home and community-based support to individuals using evidence-based ABA approaches.
• Work directly with individuals and their families in the natural environment to improve socially significant behaviors across all areas, including communication, daily living skills, social skills, and adaptive behavior.
• Teach goals and skills outlined in the treatment plans and implement behavior strategies developed by the BCBA (clinical supervisor).
• Attend and contribute to clinical and non-clinical meetings, trainings, and individual supervisions.
• Complete required session notes and data and any additional non-clinical paperwork.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients.
• Support school consultations and parent training as needed.
