Job summary

Northeast Arc is a nonprofit dedicated to helping children with disabilities thrive through ABA services. Building Blocks and Building Bridges provide individualized therapy for ages 15 months to 12 years with ASD or Down syndrome, delivered in home and community settings.

Therapists work with BCBAs, Early Intervention staff, families, and caregivers to promote engagement using Natural Environment Training and evidence-based strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in psychology, early childhood education, or a related field required.
• RBT certification may substitute for the education requirement.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent organizational skills and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide home and community-based support to individuals using evidence-based ABA approach.
• Work directly with individuals and their families in the natural environment to improve socially significant behaviors across all areas, including communication, daily living skills, social skills, and adaptive behavior.
• Teach goals and skills outlined in the treatment plans and implement behavior strategies developed by the BCBA (clinical supervisor).
• Attend and contribute to clinical and non-clinical meetings, trainings, and individual supervisions.
• Complete required session notes and data and any additional non-clinical paperwork.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients.
• Support school consultations and parent training as needed.
