Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year experience in health care billing or authorizations.
• General knowledge of home care framework and third-party reimbursement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn industry software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with multitasking.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and provide excellent service to staff and insurers.
• Run and utilize computer reports regularly.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect information.
• Provide status updates to Agency management on authorizations.
• Ensure pre-authorization is obtained and tracked.
• Follow agency policies and participate in department education.
• Notify supervisor of problems and contribute to solutions.
• Complete ongoing education and maintain competency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
