Job summary

Gadsden State Community College is seeking an Audio/Video Technician I to provide audio/visual support for college events and meetings, including live streaming and podcasts. Duties include imaging computers, moving equipment, running cables, and inventory tracking for IT devices and supplies.

Qualifications include two years of postsecondary education in a related field and one year of related AV experience.

Qualifications

Two years postsecondary education in an approved program with at least 15 semester hours in audio engineering, media production, broadcasting, computer science, electronics, or related area.
1 year of experience in a related audio/visual support position is required.
Experience in classroom/conference/event AV support is preferred.
Friendly personality with strong work ethic and integrity.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment for events and meetings.
Provide live streaming support for campus events across platforms.
Assist with podcast production, including basic editing and troubleshooting.
Configure sound boards/mixers to ensure proper audio levels and feedback prevention.
Coordinate with faculty to understand event requirements and provide AV solutions.
Test presentation materials (PowerPoint, OBS, Canva, ProPresenter) for smooth delivery.
Support ITS staff with imaging computers, moving equipment, running cables, and inventory.
Comply with ACCS policies and perform other duties as assigned.
