Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking an Audio Visual Support Technician I to provide hands-on AV, multimedia, and distance education tech support across academic, workplace, and event spaces. Travel between campus and office locations is required, delivering timely, high-quality service to faculty, staff, students, vendors, and partners.

The role conducts diagnostics, resolves issues, and contributes to system reliability with preventative maintenance, documentation, and project support

Qualifications

• 2 years of AV and live event production experience.
• People skills: collaborative leadership and teamwork.
• Strong communication; highly organized and results-oriented.
• Bachelor's degree in Audio Visual or related field.
• Certifications: Extron AV Associate, ITIL Foundations.
• Knowledge of acoustics and live sound equipment.
• Familiar with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, GVE).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support AV systems in classrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces.
• Diagnose AV connectivity, hardware, and software issues to restore service.
• Install and maintain AV cabling and related infrastructure.
• Provide technical assistance to faculty, staff, students, and vendors.
• Coordinate with Conference Services for live events.
