Job summary

VSE Aviation is seeking an Aviation Technician I to inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft components in a safety-focused environment. The role requires following all company and federal rules/regulations and adhering to established inspection procedures.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 6:30am to 5:00pm, with duties including troubleshooting fuel/pneumatic systems, documentation, tool calibration, and interpretation of schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft fuel/pneumatic equipment.
• Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
• Maintain all shop calibrated tools in satisfactory operational conditions.
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with approved technical and regulatory data.
• Perform work assignments as determined by the shop lead.
• Uses appropriate inspection techniques, and calibrated equipment for the unit/part being accomplished.
• Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
• Records information and accomplishes the work assignments in compliance with the inspection procedures manual in quality policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
• The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 6:30am to 5:00pm.
