Job summary

VSE is seeking an Aviation Technician I to inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul aircraft components while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The role requires a valid Airframe & Powerplant Certification and 4+ years of related technical experience, with strong aptitude in mechanical work and documentation.

The position operates Monday–Thursday, with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

Technical degree or certification (A&P) required or equivalent.
4+ years of relevant/technical work experience OR 3 additional years in lieu of degree.
Teardown, inspection, parts requisition, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of aircraft fuel/pneumatic components.
Able to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Verbal/written/interpersonal skills to interact with all levels.
Detail oriented and organized; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft fuel/pneumatic equipment.
Perform work per manuals and regulations; document accordingly.
Maintain shop calibrated tools in good condition.
Ensure work complies with approved technical data and regulatory data.
Read, interpret schematics and drawings.
Attend to tasks safely and timely.
Other duties as assigned.
