Job summary

VSE is seeking an Aviation Technician I to inspect, service, and repair aircraft components with high mechanical aptitude. You will troubleshoot fuel/pneumatic systems, ensure compliance with manuals and regulations, and maintain calibration of tools in a safety-focused environment.

The role requires an A&P certification or equivalent, 4+ years of related experience (or 3 years in lieu of degree), and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Must have a Technical Degree or equivalent with Airframe and Powerplant Certification.
• 4+ years of relevant/technical work experience OR 3 extra years in lieu of degree.
• Ability to teardown, inspect, assemble, test, troubleshoot and overhaul aircraft fuel/pneumatic components.
• Strong reading of schematics/drawings and adherence to safety and quality procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and good interpersonal/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft fuel/pneumatic equipment.
• Perform and document work per manuals and regulations.
• Maintain shop calibrated tools and ensure readiness.
• Work according to approved technical and regulatory data.
• Follow shop lead instructions and prioritize tasks.
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings for tasks.
• Comply with environmental health and safety policies.
• Record information and complete assignments per inspection procedures.
• Work safely and timely on assigned tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
