Job summary

VSE Aviation, Inc. is seeking an Aviation Technician I to demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and to inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft components while upholding a safe work environment and complying with company and federal regulations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and servicing fuel/pneumatic systems, documenting work per manuals, keeping calibrated tools in good condition, and following all regulatory data.

Qualifications

• High mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot, inspect, service, maintain, and repair aircraft components.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Follows safety, environmental policies, and regulatory data.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft fuel/pneumatic equipment.
• Perform and document work per manuals and regulations.
• Maintain shop calibrated tools.
• Ensure work complies with approved technical and regulatory data.
• Perform work assignments as directed by shop lead.
• Use inspection techniques and calibrated equipment for the unit/part.
• Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
• Record information and complete work per inspection procedures.
• Read schematics and drawings.
• Perform tasks safely and timely.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY: The Aviation Technician I must demonstrate high mechanical aptitude and will inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft components while maintaining a safe work environment and following all company and federal rules/ regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft fuel/pneumatic equipment.
• Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
• Maintain all shop calibrated tools in satisfactory operational conditions.
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with approved technical and regulatory data.
• Perform work assignments as determined by the shop lead.
• Uses appropriate inspection techniques, and calibrated equipment for the unit/part being accomplished.
• Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
• Records information and accomplishes the work assignments in compliance with the inspection procedures manual in quality policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
  

The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 6:30am to 5:00pm.
