Job summary

VSE Aviation is seeking an Aviation Technician I to perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and overhaul of aircraft components in a safety-conscious environment. The role requires an A&P certification or equivalent, with multiple pathways for experience.

You will read schematics, document work and adhere to regulations while maintaining tools and performing under supervision. Schedule is Monday–Thursday, 6:30am–5:00pm, with potential for additional hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical degree with A&P certification or equivalent
• 4+ years of relevant/technical work experience OR 3 extra years in lieu of degree
• Ability to teardown, inspect, requisition parts, assemble, test, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul aircraft fuel/pneumatic components
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings accurately
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Willingness to work extra hours when needed
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft fuel/pneumatic equipment
• Perform and document work per manuals and regulations
• Maintain calibrated tools and ensure equipment is in good condition
• Work in accordance with approved data and procedures
• Follow shop lead directives and maintain safety standards
• Use inspection techniques and calibrated equipment for units/parts
• Record information and complete tasks per inspection procedures
• Read schematics/drawings and perform tasks safely
• Other duties as assigned
