Amentum seeks an Aircraft Mechanic to maintain and modify aircraft structures and components for CBP missions. You will perform daily maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and document flight records, utilizing your FAA A&P license and technical manuals.

The role requires strong English communication, ability to work with specialized tools, and occasional travel. You will join a team focused on safety, reliability, and mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Must obtain CBP background clearance and US citizenship is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold FAA A&P license.
• Knowledge of airframes, hydraulics, fuel systems and engines.
• Broad knowledge of sheet metal/structural modification and repair.
• Knowledge of aircraft logbooks and maintenance documentation.
• Basic electrical theory understanding.
• Familiarity with aircraft tools and test equipment.
• Experience with technical publications and manuals.
• Adhere to hazardous waste procedures and safety rules.
• Proficient in Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to meet deadlines and communicate in English.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily flight line and hangar maintenance on assigned aircraft.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and fault isolate aircraft systems.
• Apply airframe and power plant knowledge to restore equipment.
• Lead teams on more complex tasks when required.
• Record entries in aircraft logs and records.
• Prioritize workload schedules for projects.
• May travel occasionally to support customer missions.
