Job summary

CRESA is seeking a 911 Training Specialist to support the comprehensive 911 Call Taking and Dispatch Operations training program. The role includes facilitating and delivering APCO, CRESA, and state training programs, developing curricula, and maintaining training records.

On-the-job training, recruitment, and QA tasks are also part of the duties. The successful candidate will build relationships with dispatchers, instructors and staff, work under the 911 Training Manager, and support on-site

Qualifications

• Assoc. degree in education or training preferred.
• Two years in Public Safety Telecommunications training.
• Three years as a 911 Public Safety Telecommunicator with training experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and deliver 911 Call Taking, Police Dispatch and Fire Dispatch training.
• Provide administrative support for the 911 training program and accreditation efforts.
• Assist with recruitment and interview process for 911 trainee positions.
• Develop and update training curricula and materials (classroom, shift, e-learning).
• Maintain records of training progress, certifications, and performance.
• Support QA reviews and call comparisons for trainees during OJT.
• Coordinate with agencies and partners and assist during emergencies.
