Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assign nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller contact information.
• Use approved questions to identify nature and urgency.
• Enter details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward information to the appropriate dispatch function promptly.
• Guide distressed callers with essential instructions within training boundaries.
• Use language-access and accessibility resources when needed.
• Complete required certifications within identified timeframes.
