Job summary

OSS Health seeks a friendly Greeter to welcome patients and visitors at the facility entrance, directing them to care areas and assisting with appointment check-ins.

The role requires strong customer service skills, calmness under pressure, and proficiency with computer and phone systems. Prior medical reception experience is preferred, and confidentiality is essential in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to work efficiently in a high-volume practice.
• Must be personable and friendly and able to work as a team member.
• Must have the ability to effectively use a computer and telephone system.
• Experience in medical, reception or customer service field preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented with accurate data entry and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, family members and visitors in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner at the main entrance.
• Answers incoming calls and transfers to the correct area.
• Initiates emergency operations per hospital policies and procedures.
• Has knowledge of OSS Health services to direct patients appropriately.
• Receives patient forms, scans and processes electronically in the EMR system.
• Prints census reports for physician visits and schedules; attends staff meetings and other duties as assigned.
