Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring a diesel truck technician to perform daily inspections and repairs on refuse trucks. You will diagnose hydraulic and electrical systems and keep vehicles ready for daily operation.

The role emphasizes ASE-certified diagnostics, with a 2pm–12:30am shift, overtime after 40 hours, and a $5K sign-on bonus paid in two installments. PTO, tool allowances, and 401K are included after specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Repair diesel refuse trucks and diagnose issues.
• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Must have ASE certifications; opportunity for ASE bumps.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay: $25 to $32 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

$5K Sign On Bonus-paid out in 2 installments. One payment of $2500 after 30 days the remaining $2500 after 90 days.

Shift: 2pm-1230am M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .50 bump per T Series ASE.
