Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy teams in delivering safe, accurate prescriptions and caring service in CVS stores. You will apply classroom learning to real-world practice under a preceptor, following a structured training roadmap with key learning experiences and leadership interactions.

You will gain hands-on experience in dispensing, patient counseling, immunizations, and collaborating with pharmacists while learning store, district, and regional

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists and technicians manage patient health.
• Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Counsel patients when appropriate and assist with immunizations and other services.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify prescriptions under state regulations.
• Support pharmacy team with training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Assist with inventory activities and cycle counts.
• Travel to stores in the market to cover shifts as needed.
