Job summary

Valmont is seeking a dedicated production specialist for the 3rd shift at our facility in the United States. This role performs all phases of production and may fill in for the shift lead, ensuring tools and materials are ready to deliver high-quality Valmont products.

Able to operate overhead crane and collaborate to hit department goals. Successful candidates will have 3+ years welding or machine operation experience, blueprints literacy, forklift certification, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of welding or machine operation experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions and blueprints.
• Ability to use a tape measure and understand shop mathematics.
• Must pass forklift driver's test and operate forklift safely.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Lean manufacturing exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate an overhead crane and assist with multiple equipment.
• Collaborate with leadership to meet continuous improvement goals.
• Assist training of others and complete required paperwork.
• Provide feedback to Supervisor on team performance.
• Act as back up for shift lead and area employees.
• Maintain a productive, safe environment to manufacture quality products.
• Utilize pole setup, trap shear, profiler, and welding machines as needed.
