Job summary

Valmont - Steele, AL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for 2nd or 3rd shift to perform routine and scheduled maintenance across trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, electronics, welding, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Daily tasks include inspections and equipment updates to ensure safe operation.

Candidates should have at least two years using hand and power tools, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and be willing to train on forklift and overhead crane.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to read, write and follow instructions.
• Able to perform simple mathematics and read a tape measure.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and related systems (carpentry, welding).
• Inspect and service overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Read blueprints and troubleshoot equipment.
