Job summary
Valmont Industries in Valley, Nebraska is seeking an experienced Welder for a 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.).
The role involves welding metal components per layouts and blueprints, operating welding equipment and related fixtures, and ensuring quality through inspection and measurement. Qualified applicants have at least two years of welding experience, can pass welding tests and AWS/CWB certifications for GMAW, and can read schematics and blueprints to sequence operations
Qualifications
- Two years of welding experience in a professional environment.
- Ability to pass welding hand-on test and written assessment.
- Ability to pass and maintain weld certification to meet AWS, CWB and other customer certifications in GMAW welding.
- Ability to read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets for welding.
Responsibilities
- Weld metal components per layouts, blueprints, or work orders using brazing and arc/gas welding equipment.
- Fuse structural components for poles, substations and structures.
- Read blueprints and sheets to determine operation sequence.
- Maintain and operate welding tooling and fixtures and welding equipment safely.
