Job summary

Valmont is seeking a Tubeline Machine Operator to learn burnisher, straightener, saw and buffer operations, producing high quality tubes. The role involves overhead crane, plate blaster, forklift operation and maintenance of line equipment.

The position is based at 28800 Ida St, Valley, NE. Pay is $23.90/hour with a $2/hour shift differential. Schedule: 3rd shift, Sun–Thu, 10:50 p.m.–7:00 a.m., with full-time responsibilities in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 0–6 months experience required.
• Basic math: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
• Must pass forklift safety test.
• Read a tape measure.
• Prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Problem solving and timely delivery of results.
• Lift up to 50 lb occasionally (10 lb frequently).

Responsibilities

• Perform welding repairs on seam splits.
• Operate forklift to move material in shop areas.
• Follow supervisor directions to meet customer requests.
• Maintain safe, productive work environment.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on equipment.
