Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet running safely and reliably. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and repair components on trucks, trailers, and converters as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or equivalent education.
• Experience with truck repair, body and frame repair.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Ability to complete required paperwork and records.
• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (when required).
• Knowledge of truck systems and diagnostic tools.
• Willing to attend training classes and possibly shift changes.
• Commitment to safety and superior customer relations.
• Willing to work on any rolling stock as directed.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of company equipment as may be required in the department.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other breakdowns or failures in trucks.
• Read precision instruments such as micrometers and dial indicators, voltmeters and calibrators.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of component parts and systems on the truck or trailer.
• Welding to complete truck repairs where applicable.
• Welding on converter dollies with proper beads.
• Apply knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules.
• Perform all duties as assigned by the company.
