Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet in peak condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure timely repairs while adhering to industry standards.

The role requires reading precision instruments, using diagnostic tools, and applying knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA regulations. Experience with truck repair and body/frame work is preferred; owning your own tools is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or equivalent.
• Experience with truck repair, body and frame repair.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Ability to complete required paperwork and records.
• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (when required).
• Knowledge of trucks and related systems; reading precision instruments.

Responsibilities

• Repair company equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Read precision instruments and use electronic diagnostic tools.
• Apply knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC, OSHA rules and regulations.
