Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to repair and service company equipment, conduct preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on trucks and trailers.

You will read precision instruments, perform diagnostic tests, and may weld parts as needed. Requires knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations and own tools; CDL may be required for some roles.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or related field.
• Experience with truck repair and body/frame work.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Valid CDL when required.
• Strong reading of precision instruments and diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain company equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other failures in trucks and related equipment.
• Read precision instruments like micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters and digital multimeters.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on truck/trailer systems.
• Weld as needed on converter dollies and other components.
