Job summary

Saab in West Lafayette, IN is hiring 3rd shift Structural Assemblers to build the aft fuselage for the T-7A Red Hawk trainer. The role includes training new team members and contributing to a state-of-the-art production system.

Starting hourly rate is $23-$25, with a 3rd shift premium of $2 per hour. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or eligible, and may work extended hours and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant assembly or hand tool experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to select and safely use appropriate hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow standardized procedures and maintain consistent quality.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Execute standardized procedures to deliver 100% quality and install systems on fuselage.
• Deliver work per quality requirements and work instructions in a team environment.
• Support daily continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and morale.
• Complete functional testing of assemblies and systems.
