Job summary

Saab is seeking 3rd shift Structural Assemblers in West Lafayette, IN, to build the aft fuselage for the T-7A Red Hawk. Responsibilities include assembling structures, training new teammates, and contributing to a state-of-the-art production system. On-site training provided through the Aerospace structures training academy; start date anticipated in December 2026.

Starting hourly rate is $23-$25 with a $2 shift premium, reflecting experience. Citizenship: U.S. citizens or eligible residents.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant assembly or hand tool experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to select and safely use appropriate hand and power tools.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft fuselage components following standardized procedures.
• Ensure quality per work instructions and safety guidelines.
• Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale.
• Complete functional testing of assemblies and systems as required.
• Train new employees and transfer knowledge to the team.
