Job summary

Meijer in Appleton, WI seeks an experienced store leader to plan, direct, and supervise daily operations across departments. You will mentor staff, drive sales, and ensure exceptional service while maintaining store standards and a safe environment.

You will staff, develop career paths, handle disciplinary actions, and lead teams to meet goals. The role requires strong communication, conflict resolution, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas and strong customer service.
• Ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze information.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development needs for team members.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicates the Meijer Friendly Initiative in all team meetings and conversations.
• Mentors and coaches the team members to ensure customer service and sales goals are exceeded and area is maintained to Meijer standards.
• Ensures the team is thoroughly trained in all aspects of their jobs and have completed all required training.
• Spends majority of time within the store communicating with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service is delivered.
• Promotes a safe work environment and maintains reliable attendance.
