Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store (meat, bakery, produce, deli); customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and give direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions and teach suggestive selling.
• Commitment to working safely and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Ensure a positive company image with courteous, friendly service.
• Manage P&L, sales goals and shrink within the department.
• Promote safety and provide training across the team.
• Spare time in-store to communicate with customers and team members.
