Job summary

Multimatic in Butler, IN is looking for a Lead Hand for the 3rd shift to oversee the overall quality, safety and efficient operation of the processes within their work area. You will guide production, train operators on equipment, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet objectives.

You will manage scheduling, review OEE data, ensure proper training documentation, and lead safety actions while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to train operators on equipment and processes.
• Strong knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with SAP scheduling and inventory concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead production in assigned area and direct operators daily.
• Ensure PPE compliance and safe work environment.
• Review OEE data and maintain shift performance records.
• Coordinate daily production scheduling with SAP and forecasts.
• Lead safety improvements and 5-why corrective actions.
• Prepare shift notes and communicate issues to supervision.
• Train new operators and verify training via records.
