Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is looking for a Production Specialist to join our West Chicago, IL facility on the 10:00 pm–6:00 am shift, Monday through Friday. This role emphasizes safe, efficient production, general housekeeping, packing, case making and inspection to meet customer specifications.

You will perform quality checks, operate case-making equipment, and support continuous improvement while following GMP and company policies.

Qualifications

• Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance required.
• Proficient computer usage and typing skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while staying positive.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments per instructions.
• Effective communication and collaboration with team.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, health, quality GMP policies and company procedures.
• Inspect finished product for defects and ensure proper case sealing.
• Pack bottles per customer specifications.
• Clear jams, restart and operate trimmer safely.
• Notify supervisor of potential problems with product or machinery.
• Strap, stack and orient cases per load patterns.
• Maintain glue tanks and perform fiber tear checks.
• Assist with rework and heldware as needed.
• Train permanent and temporary staff on packing quality.
• Keep area clean and safe.
• Complete written documentation as required.
