Job summary

Graham Packaging Company in West Chicago, IL, is seeking a Production Specialist for the 2nd shift (2:00 pm–10:00 pm, Monday–Friday). You will support daily production tasks, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and maintain housekeeping in the production area.

The role requires reliable attendance, basic computer and typing skills, and strong communication. You will work with supervisors and cross-functional teams to meet customer specifications and company standards.

Qualifications

• Regular attendance is required.
• Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping of the production area and packing.
• Inspect finished product for defects and ensure proper sealing.
• Pack bottles according to customer specifications.
• Clear jams and restart trimming equipment safely.
• Notify supervisor of potential problems with quality or machines.
• Assist with rework and heldware to ensure timely completion.
• Train permanent and temporary staff in packing quality and operation of case machines.
