Job summary

Voltava is seeking a Materials Supervisor for the 3rd shift to lead material flow, inventory control, and shipping/receiving activities. The role supports production readiness, minimizes disruptions, and drives improvements across ERP/MRP-driven processes in a manufacturing setting.

You will coordinate with production, purchasing, tooling, and logistics to ensure timely material availability, optimize storage layouts, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of advanced schooling and/or work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Materials Management or Supply Chain/Logistics.
• Experience in materials, inventory, logistics, shipping/receiving, or production control in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead shipping, receiving, and material handling activities to support safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory and material transactions using QAD and other ERP/MRP systems.
• Monitor Min/Max, Kanban, and MRP systems to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Optimize inventory levels while reducing excess, obsolete, and end-of-life materials.
• Coordinate receiving, material returns, tooling shipments, and resolution of shipping or inventory discrepancies.
• Partner with suppliers, carriers, purchasing, tooling, and production teams to resolve material issues and maintain delivery schedules.
• Support new product launches through material planning, plant readiness, layouts, storage, and system implementation.
• Drive improvements in material flow, plant organization, 5S, inventory accuracy, and overall efficiency.
• Identify risks and opportunities, solve problems, and implement practical solutions.
• Promote a safe, organized, and customer-focused work environment.
