Job summary

Voltava in Michigan is seeking a 2nd Shift Materials Coordinator to keep production running smoothly by managing materials, parts, and inventories. You will oversee receiving and production flow, identify shortages, coordinate expedited materials, and collaborate with customers and plant leadership to meet delivery commitments.

Qualifications

Experience in materials management or a related manufacturing environment.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Monitor inventory levels and use ERP to prevent production interruptions.
Coordinate and expedite material flow per production and shipping needs.
Review schedules for shortages, overdue materials, and disruptions.
Partner with customers, receiving, production, and cross-functional teams to resolve material issues.
Investigate variances, perform cycle counts, and support corrective actions.
Coordinate expedited material requirements and monitor OSR metrics.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities in material flow and layouts.
Support plant safety policies and perform other duties as assigned.
