Job summary

W. L. Gore & Associates seeks a Manufacturing Technician for the Fabrics Coatings team on the 3rd Shift in Elkton, Maryland. Standard hours are 11:00 PM–7:30 AM, Sunday night to Friday morning.

You will set up, operate, maintain and troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment, follow safety practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals while supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience operating and maintaining complex equipment.
• Attentiveness to detail with strong documentation and record-keeping.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to follow safety practices and use PPE.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and alternate between shifts.
• Ability to learn basic and some advanced computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Learn, support, and practice Gore culture.
• Follow safety practices and wear PPE.
• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex equipment to meet production goals.
• Collaborate with shop associates, process engineers, and new product development engineers.
• Make informed quality decisions based on documentation.
• Follow quality systems to ensure processes meet customer needs.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Understand and apply work instructions and suggest improvements.
• Perform computer data entry (Nemo, EAM, HMI Interface).
• Apply fundamental technology to manufacturing and testing.
