Job summary

Gore in Elkton, Maryland seeks a Manufacturing Production Leader for the Third shift to guide production teams of operators and Area Leads. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives with a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

As a key leadership role on the Third shift, you will coach teams, apply lean tools, and ensure adherence to the Gore Business System, while working across functions to meet daily and weekly production goals.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience directly managing production teams and operators.
• Experience using daily management systems to align work with business objectives.
• Experience analyzing data to drive root-cause and informed decisions.
• Experience in a regulated environment with quality systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with inclusive leadership.
• Proven ability to apply lean tools in daily operations and Gore BSM.

Responsibilities

• Lead production area activities including daily management, safety, quality, and delivery with 30% time in area.
• Develop and manage the performance and development of individuals and teams.
• Monitor and improve KPIs related to productivity, yield, and quality.
• Optimize staffing and equipment to meet goals and ensure continuity.
• Model Gore Business System with lean tools (6S, standard work, problem solving, RCA).
• Ensure EH&S requirements are met and documented through incident management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, planning, QA, EH&S, HR, etc. to meet goals safely.
• Communicate shift status and issues to leadership and other teams.
• Maintain training compliance within the quality system.
