Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Whitehall Township, Michigan, seeks a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Leader for Plant 10, Whitehall Casting Operation. You will plan, develop, and implement new methods to improve operations, reduce costs, and increase utilization of labor and materials across shifts.

You will lead a team, manage staffing, coach and train, ensure EHS compliance, participate in safety inspections, and drive continuous improvement with a focus on performance, quality, and timely production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of people leadership experience; 2 years in manufacturing.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement new methods to improve operations and reduce costs.
• Supervise a team; staffing, performance appraisals and attendance management.
• Ensure EHS rules and safety practices; participate in inspections and audits.
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering and quality to minimize downtime.
• Requisition tools and supplies; ensure proper training and tool knowledge.
