Job summary

Campbell Soup Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Downers Grove site. You will maintain and repair production equipment, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance across boilers, HVAC, and facility infrastructure.

Strong problem-solving, safety focus, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams are essential. You will document activities, interpret schematics, ladder logic, and use SAP/Office tools to communicate

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Basic electrical training or equivalent experience for safe electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of using basic hand and power tools safely.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Ability to interpret ladder logic and basic control circuits.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency including SAP and email systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plant production equipment using manuals, schematics, and supervisor guidance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control issues.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and facility systems.
• Maintain boilers, HVAC, refrigeration systems, chillers, and building infrastructure.
• Use hand and power tools—welders, lathes, grinders, mills—safely.
• Take precise measurements, testing, and diagnostics to identify issues.
• Interpret ladder logic and basic control circuits for troubleshooting.
• Operate electrical testing equipment and replace like-for-like components.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks.
• Complete daily maintenance documentation and reporting in SAP/email.
