Job summary

Campbell Soup Company in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician to keep highly automated bakery lines running safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex equipment, mentor junior mechanics, and support continuous improvement initiatives on night shifts.

The role requires eight-plus years of industrial maintenance experience, strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, PLCs, and experience with welding/fabrication.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) or more years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Experience with automated production equipment and electromechanical systems.
• Proficient in reading mechanical/electrical schematics and manuals.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and machine control systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain automated bakery equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and performance.
• Mentor Zone 2/3 Mechanics and support other teams during troubleshooting.
• Ensure safety, GMPs, and food safety standards are met; follow JSAs and OSHA EPA rules.
• Participate in continuous improvement and plant-wide reliability initiatives.
• Support overtime and weekend coverage as needed.
