Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity to safely use hand/power tools.
• Basic electrical training or equivalent experience for electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret shop manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Ability to interpret ladder logic and basic control circuits.
• Proficiency with a multimeter for electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math and measurement skills (English/metric).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed and comply with PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant production machinery using manuals and drawings.
• Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical problems and complete safe repairs.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting with a multimeter and replace components.
• Interpret ladder logic and troubleshoot control circuits.
• Maintain plant boiler, HVAC, refrigeration, and building systems.
• Safely operate tools and shop equipment (welders, lathes, grinders, mills).
• Take precise measurements and document equipment status.
• Read rulers and tape measures in English and metric units.
• Communicate equipment conditions clearly and work with minimal supervision.
