Job summary

Michael Foods Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician L1 for the 3rd shift (M-F, 10pm–6am) at our Wakefield, Nebraska facility. The role focuses on mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and reliability improvements to keep equipment running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will read mechanical drawings and schematics, work with SAP, and collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical cert preferred.
• 1 year maintenance technician experience preferred; SAP experience helpful.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams preferred. Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on plant equipment and address minor electrical repairs.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks and ensure equipment reliability.
• Read blueprints and wiring schematics; use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Support root cause analysis and contribute to reliability improvements.
