• Record shipment activity, document exceptions, and follow escalation protocols.
• Review and maintain load information for accuracy and compliance with requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues across operations to meet service, productivity and quality goals.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by communicating professionally and resolving issues.

Location: Eden Prairie, MN

Pay: $21.00/hour

About the Opportunity

Beacon Hill's client is seeking a motivated and detail-focused 3rd Shift Logistics Customer Service Specialist to support transportation operations and provide exceptional service to both customers and carrier partners. This role plays a key part in ensuring shipments move efficiently while maintaining data accuracy and resolving issues in a timely manner.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering a primarily remote work environment following the initial training period.

Schedule

• Training Period (First 5 Weeks): Onsite in Eden Prairie, MN Monday through Friday 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Regular Schedule: Primarily remote with one in-office day per month
• Rotating overnight and weekend schedule Hours: Sunday: 11:30 PM - 8:00 AM, Monday - Thursday: 11:30 PM - 8:00 AM, Friday: 11:30 PM - 8:00 AM, Saturday: 11:30 PM - 8:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Manage transportation and logistics functions including order creation, appointment scheduling, shipment tracking, and invoice processing while adhering to established procedures.
• Monitor team task queues and shared email inboxes, responding promptly to customer and carrier inquiries.
• Record shipment activity, document exceptions, and follow escalation protocols when needed.
• Review and maintain load information to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer and company requirements.
• Partners with colleagues across the operation to achieve service, productivity, and quality objectives.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by communicating professionally and resolving issues efficiently.

Qualifications

• At least high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience
• Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in a call center, logistics, transportation, or customer support environment
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
• High attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain accurate records
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative and inclusive team environment
