Job summary

Pridgeon and Clay in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Setup Technician for the 3rd shift (8:30am–6:30pm). You will assist the Manufacturing Supervisor in directing resources and ensuring quality through standard work, tooling setup, and equipment readiness.

The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and document process parameters, operate presses and dies, and lead in safety and teamwork. A sign-on bonus of $2,500 is offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting dies, sensors, and auxiliary equipment.
• Experience using and programming a Smart Pac and operating automatic metal stamping presses.
• Strong mechanical inclination, math skills, and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production and schedule work using the tracking system.
• Enter production info and troubleshoot tagging/inventory issues with IS support.
• Prepare presses and dies per standard work instructions.
• Validate process parameters and document deviations.
• Teach operators to tag and label scrap correctly.
• Follow safety procedures during all shift activities.
