Job summary

Pridgeon & Clay in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Setup Technician for 3rd shift (8:30pm-6:30am) to support the Manufacturing team. You will prepare presses, dies, sensors, and tooling according to standard work to ensure quality production.

You must have at least a high school diploma or GED and hands-on experience with die setups, Smart Pac programming, CMM use, and crane/forklift operations. Strong teamwork and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting dies, sensors, and auxiliary equipment.
• Experience programming a Smart Pac and operating stamping presses.
• Ability to document tooling, sensor, press issues in detail.
• Capability to operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
• Must have or be able to obtain Hi-lo/forklift and crane licenses.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production, schedule work, and report production data.
• Enter production information into tracking system and troubleshoot inventory issues.
• Prepare presses and work sites; set up dies per instructions.
• Validate process parameters; document deviations when applicable.
• Train operators and lead daily standups; ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Follow standard work and improve setup times; manage changeovers.
