Job summary

Pridgeon & Clay in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Setup Technician for 3rd shift (8:30pm-6:30am) to support the Manufacturing team. You will prepare presses, dies, sensors, and tooling according to standard work to ensure quality production.

You must have at least a high school diploma or GED and hands-on experience with die setups, Smart Pac programming, CMM use, and crane/forklift operations. Strong teamwork and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting dies, sensors, and auxiliary equipment.
Experience programming a Smart Pac and operating stamping presses.
Ability to document tooling, sensor, press issues in detail.
Capability to operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
Must have or be able to obtain Hi-lo/forklift and crane licenses.
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Monitor production, schedule work, and report production data.
Enter production information into tracking system and troubleshoot inventory issues.
Prepare presses and work sites; set up dies per instructions.
Validate process parameters; document deviations when applicable.
Train operators and lead daily standups; ensure safety procedures are followed.
Follow standard work and improve setup times; manage changeovers.
