Job summary

Pridgeon And Clay in Grand Rapids is seeking a Setup Technician for the 3rd shift (8:30am–6:30pm) to support the Manufacturing Supervisor in directing resources and improving department performance per quality policies. The role requires setting up dies, sensors, and auxiliary equipment, plus operating automated stamping presses and the CMM, with attention to documentation and safety.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting dies, sensors, and auxiliary equipment.
Experience using and programming a Smart Pac and operating automatic metal stamping presses.
Mechanical inclination and basic math and computer literacy.
Ability to operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
Licenses for Hi-lo/forklift and crane, or ability to obtain them.

Responsibilities

Monitor production requirements and schedule work using the tracking system.
Enter production information and assist IS to troubleshoot tagging and inventory issues.
Ensure team follows standard work and properly sets up dies and presses.
Validate process parameters and document deviations as needed.
Lead and train operators, provide timely feedback to management.
Follow safety procedures and maintain orderly work area.
