Job summary

Pridgeon & Clay is seeking a Setup Technician for the 3rd shift (8:30pm–6:30am, 4-10s) in Grand Rapids, MI. You will support the Manufacturing Supervisor by setting up dies, sensors, and tooling, and by documenting process parameters to ensure quality production.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and experience with dies, sensors, and automatic presses. A CMM, and forklift/crane licenses are preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting dies, sensors, and auxiliary equipment.
• Experience using and programming a Smart Pac and operating automatic metal stamping presses.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math; able to use a computer.
• Ability to operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
• P& C Hi-lo/forklift and crane licenses or ability to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production requirements and schedule work for the area.
• Enter production data into the tracking system and troubleshoot tagging/inventory issues.
• Prepare presses and work sites for setup; install and remove dies per standard work.
• Validate process parameters and document deviations as needed.
• Lead operators and ensure safety and quality procedures are followed.
