Job summary

EAS Direct Hire is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a high‑volume manufacturing facility in New Jersey. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to maximize uptime and support safe operations.

The technician will perform advanced preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance, diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing and PLC issues, and document work in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, equipment manuals and layouts.
• Experience in at least two areas: electrical, mechanical, refrigeration or plumbing.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment setup, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance practices.
• Must be 18 years or older and available for 3rd shift and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced preventive, scheduled and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC related problems.
• Complete or assist with major equipment overhauls, system rebuilds and installations.
• Coordinate repairs with production personnel and outside contractors to minimize downtime.
• Operate forklifts, lifts, power tools and diagnostic equipment safely.
• Document work performed and equipment conditions in the CMMS.
• Communicate repair status and follow-up needs to maintenance and production teams.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized maintenance areas.
• Follow GMP requirements, safety procedures and company policies.
