Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a high-volume manufacturing facility in New Jersey.

The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to maximize uptime and ensure safe, reliable operations. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of mechanical/electrical maintenance experience, the ability to read P&IDs and schematics, and can work a 3rd shift with weekend availability.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least three years of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience involving industrial or manufacturing machinery, or five years of equivalent relevant experience.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, equipment manuals, and machine layout drawings.
Experience in at least two of the following areas: Electrical systems; Mechanical systems; Refrigeration; Plumbing; Food-manufacturing process controls.
Knowledge of industrial equipment setup, functionality, operating procedures, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance practices.
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, plan work effectively, and respond to urgent equipment issues.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be available to work the third-shift schedule and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC-related problems.
Complete or assist with major equipment overhauls, system rebuilds, and equipment installations.
Work closely with production personnel and outside contractors to coordinate repairs and minimize operational disruptions.
Safely operate forklifts, lifts, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other maintenance machinery.
Accurately document completed work, equipment conditions, and maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system.
Communicate equipment issues, repair status, and follow-up needs electronically with maintenance and production team members.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized maintenance work areas.
Follow all GMP requirements, safety procedures, company policies, and applicable regulatory standards.
