Job summary

EAS Direct Hire is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a high-volume manufacturing facility in New Jersey. This 3rd shift role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to maximize uptime and ensure safe operations.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment installations, and coordination with production personnel and contractors. Must read P&IDs and schematics; prior PLC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least three years of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, manuals, and layouts.
Experience in two of: Electrical systems, Mechanical systems, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Food-m manufacturing process controls.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC-related issues.
Assist with major equipment overhauls, system rebuilds, and installations.
Coordinate repairs with production and contractors to minimize downtime.
Operate maintenance tools and equipment safely and maintain organized work areas.
Document work and equipment status in the CMMS.
