Job summary

Electrical Automation Services seeks an experienced Automation Technician for 3rd shift to install, configure, and troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems across packaging and manufacturing lines. You will work on PLCs, HMIs, and drive systems, ensuring safe operation and accurate feedback from encoders and load cells.

Responsibilities include ladder logic programming, ladder logic modifications, and diagnostics of Profibus, serial, and industrial Ethernet networks, with strong focus on

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Experience with servo systems and packaging equipment preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures (lockout/tagout, etc.).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot analog/digital controls.
• Experience with PLC programming and HMI interfaces is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity_switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and control wiring.
• Provide troubleshooting for analog/digital controls with 480V 3-phase power; motor, VFD, servo drives, and soft starts.
• Maintain encoders and load cells; diagnose calibration issues.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces; modify ladder logic as needed.
• Troubleshoot communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet) and diagnose equipment issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and production equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain clean, safe work environment.
